temperature gauge sending unit
I have experienced a stuck temp gauge several times - it displayed one temperature for a couple of hours without change. Then, suddenly, it started working again. Every time this happened I was on very dusty, bumpy roads - however, I have no clue whether that had any influence at all. The display did not change after I cleaned the connector to the sending unit.
After opening the hood you'll find access to the sending unit and wiring.
