Andrew,

yes. DENSO supplies injection systems for many Japanese cars. Here
is a typical arrangement. A simple pump inside the tank and not shown
is an inexpensive 'filter sock' hanging off from it. Compared to MB's
system with two pumps which can suck off from the very bottom this is
a low tech solution.
